I did this tutorial for Stayka, as she was asking some advice or tips to get a better integration of a character in an enviroment. Although this was done especifically to integrate characters on a pic of hers, I firmly believe the same principle can be applied to other illustrations. The first few steps were done in Gimp (you can find those features on PS).As I didn't know how to use that program I switched to PS CS 3. Hope this works for you as well :)
